There are some of us girls who just like to buy the complete outfit and be done. For some time, I didn't get it. But, I have come to appreciate it. When you get the whole outfit from soup to nuts, you feel relieved, the pressure is off. This tactic is great for a special event. It puts the pressure off and you are ready for said event. You get your jewelry, outfit, shoes, etc. and you are done. I sometimes feel though that this limits me to the "outfit" and then if I wear it again I might have to change it up and make it look different. I need a different shoe, or would add a belt. My sister enjoys just buying the whole she-bang and getting out of the store. I enjoy the hunt! Whatever your style is , stick to it and make it your own!

Knee High Boots & hats

Hey Foxy people!

There is nothing I love more than hats & boots. I can't turn down any kind of hat! My two faves of the moment are the fedora ( really slanty) and the sequin beret. Man, if you haven't tried a hat, please do it. They are SO much fun. Also, I have been trying out the knee high boots and sweet jesus, I heart them!! Wear anyway you like, but I can't resist wearing them with a skirt. I know, I know, I run the risk of looking pretty womanish, but I don't care! If loving boots and hats is wrong, then I don't want to be right!!!!! So go get a hat , tilt to the side and pretend to be from the Mod Squad.

Expensive Versus Cheap?

Hey Fashion Foxes!

My friend DECKS said to me the other day, "Cherie, I went to Nordstrom's shoe salon. It was very fun to look at all the shoes.But I don't understand why certain shoes are more expensive. What gives? Are they MADE better?" I thought about it. The next day I happened to wear a pair of gladiators I picked up at Kohl's for $34.99. If something is trendy, I'll buy cheap and throw out. WELL, seriously, I wore them TWO times. The soles had a hole in them by the end of the day. I walked into DECKS' room to show her. The Answer is YES, cheap shoes are just that: CHEAPLY MADE!!! So now, I am out $34.99. I could have used that towards a better pair. Now, my sweet hubby bought me a pair of BRIAN ATWOOD PUMPS!! They came in the mail the other day and GALS, they are sweet. They are made in Italy and let me tell you, they are made beautifully. The soles are prettier then any shoe I have ever seen. The suede is high quality and the stitching is impeccable. So my advice is this, if you don't mind a trendy shoe wearing out quickly, have fun. If you want something that will last longer, go better name, quality, etc. If your birthday or a holiday is coming up, treat yourself, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! ;)

Cherie's Fabulous Fall Forecast

Hey Foxy Fashion Divas!

Well, time to dust off the boots! The two things I love about fall are leather jackets and boots!

This season it's all about the over-the-knee boots! You can go flat or high, but wear them over the knee. Get the leather or suede and wear them over leggings and jeans. Now, the boyfriend jean is still going strong, so wear a cropped bootie to update. OR, you can wear tights with a thick sandal and get some mileage out of the sandal. I have been stocking up on tights galore! The big IT item this season is the Boyfriend jacket! Get black, snug, a little long and roll up sleeves. Wear over white tee with jeans, booties and you are good to go! The leather jacket is still a moto style, go black or brown. I am seeing lots of pops of color also. Michael Kors did the fab neon. One piece will punch up a drab outfit. Of course, my fave, leopard stays strong! It NEVERS goes away people! This time of year though you should get some great deals on the summer stuff, pack away for next year, and you will surprise yourself with a new item;)

Hey!

My fave sunglass picks! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Ray-Bans! My fave is the Wayfarer. I especially enjoy the large Wayfarers. The color selections are outrageous! I am just starting to maybe like the Nicole Richie-style of bug-eyes. I need to try some more on! Anyway, have fun, go cheap, go high-end, go color! Whatever you choose, have fun and be FOXY!

Fall Ahead

HIYA!

Okay, I know it is July, but we must start planning our Fall wardrobe. I am very excited about the over the knee boots hitting the stores! I am sooo glad I got my Frye boots last season! ( Thanks JP) Get yourself some knee high boots people! Next, deep plum is the color of the fall season, so look at what you have, and add that to the mix. I also see some neutral coats with bracelet sleeves to be worn with long colorful gloves. Of course, my fave, animal prints is coming on strong this season. I have my eye on a pair of leopard moccasinsand DVF leggings.:) The boyfriend jean is everywhere, are we tired yet? Nah! Wear 'em. But you need skinny jeans for the over-the-jean- boot look. Lastly, I have my eye on a gorge GOYARD bag. It MUST be monagrammed if you indulge! May need to pick one up in VEGA$!

What are you WAITING for? Poeple have already pre-ordered their stuff! GET ON IT!

Hey Foxy people!

Do not buy fakes! You are contributing to child labor if you do! You know they are made with shoddy materials anyway and you are just wasting your money! Treat yourself to something high quality for a special occasion in your life! The item will be special and you will feel better about yourself! Besides, do we really believe those backwards "Gs" are real GUCCIS?? NO!

Costume jewelry is fun and we know it is not trying to be something it is not!

So go out, treat yourself and be FOXY!
